Recommended - an Update

Hey Folks! I've been insanely the last few months and haven't had time to update the website!

I went to San Francisco the week before last to read for litquake.

I flew in on Monday.

The Albany Bulb is built on top of an old garbage dump. It's a really cool place and I recommend you go there if you haven't been.

Emily told me that ever since the Occupy Movement, many more homeless people have made the park their home. I was there in 2010 and I agree that it is much more inhabited than it was then. It felt a little like trespassing in some parts of the park.

There are huge piles of rip-rap and rebar that you have to scramble over in different parts of the park. Because of the cost to the city to make the land "safe", this piece of land may never be more than a dog park, an ever-changing art show, and a homeless camp. An in- between place, a liminal zone.

I like liminal spaces.

Emily and her boyfriend James probably live in the cutest apartment EVER. Both of them are collectors and there are countless whimsical touches in their home.
